Functions of Union Parishad

 

1) The main functions of the council will be as follows, 

Administration and installation issues:
(B) Protection of public order
(C) services related to public welfare work;
(D) Formulation and implementation of plans related to local economic and social development.


(2) On the basis of the main functions mentioned in sub-section (1), the functions of the council are described in the second schedule.
Functions of Union Parishad described in Second Schedule -

01. Five schools and various term development plans prepared.

02. Development, conservation and maintenance of rural infrastructure.

03. Relating to education and primary and mass education activities.

04. Implementation of health and family planning activities.

05. To take necessary activities for agriculture, fisheries and livestock resources and other economic development.

06. Taking necessary steps in epidemic control and disaster management.

07. Assignment and collection of taxes, fees, tolls, fees etc.

08. Perform necessary activities related to family dispute resolution, welfare of women and children.

09. To take necessary initiative and provide cooperation in sports, social development, culture etc. activities.

10. Taking necessary measures for the development and protection of the environment.

11. To fulfill the responsibilities entrusted by the government to maintain law and order and to take necessary activities.

12. Birth-death registration.

13. To take care of government places, open spaces, parks and playgrounds.

14. Lighting of lamps in the streets and public places of the Union Parishad.

15. Plantation and conservation of trees, prevention of theft and destruction of tree resources.

16. Maintenance and management of cemeteries, crematoriums, public meeting places and other government property.

17. Prevent unauthorized entry into highways, highways and government places and stop harassment and its causes in these places.

32. To encourage the development of cooperative movement and rural industries.

33. Taking measures to produce extra food.

34. To control and maintain the loss of cattle.

35. Arranging first aid center.

36. Take other necessary measures for the safety, comfort or convenience of the residents of the Union.

36. Encouraging the introduction of e-governance.

36. Expansion of cooperation with other organizations engaged in similar activities like Union Parishad.

39. Responsibilities imposed by the Government from time to time.
